President and CEO of Mission Matters Consulting, LLC, is best known as a nonprofit change agent. With over two decades of experience as a nonprofit executive, community foundation vice president, and consultant, Christie specializes in helping nonprofits problem-solve, plan, and make progress in challenging and complex situations.
Christie has worked with hundreds of public charities, foundations, and municipalities in the primary areas of governance transformation and strategic planning. Some of her clients have included Hispanic National Bar Foundation, ACLU of Florida, The Washington Ballet, Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Cities of Sarasota and North Port, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, William G. & Marie Selby Foundation, Greater Washington Community Foundation, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, The American Physical Society, and Safe Children Coalition.
Christie received her Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Purdue University. Christie is a devoted lifelong learner and earned certifications from Board Source, Coaches Training Institute, Raise Together®, University of South Florida’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Myers Briggs Institute. She was the lead curriculum developer for the Gulf Coast Board Institute, where she trained hundreds of board members serving on local, state, and national boards of directors. Her passion is helping boards of directors become exceptional.
